Initial Consultation

Your initial consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete initial exam, and find out which treatment option will best meet your needs. During your initial consultation, we will:

  • Review your dental and medical history forms
  • Perform an oral exam, with X-rays, to determine whether treatment is necessary
  • Help you create a customized treatment plan
  • Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans

Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and will provide the information necessary to determine which treatment is right for you.

What happens after the initial consultation?

You’re one step closer to achieving the smile you’ve always wanted! After your initial consultation, your next appointment will include orthodontic records where we gather more information such as profile pictures and other images to ensure optimum treatment results.

Dr. Rose will also place your new orthodontic appliance. She will also discuss “do’s and don’ts” while wearing your new orthodontic appliance and how to get the maximum treatment benefitits.

Scheduling Appointments

Once in active treatment, it is critical to visit our office every four to eight weeks. This is necessary to ensure compliance with the treatment plan. We offer late appointments to make sure your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, please let us know which days and times work best for you.

We know there may be times when you may be running late or need to reschedule, all we ask is that you notify us as soon as you can and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.

When you’re ready to schedule your first appointment, contact our offe and one of our friendly team member will gladly help you. We look forward to helping you smile with confidence.

Dental visits during orthodontic treatment

It is very important to continue to visit your family dentist at least every six months for cleanings and routine dental checkups. We recommend every 3-4 more for some of our younger patients who have a difficult time brushing and flossing with their braces.

During orthodontic treatment you must be very vigilant with brushing and flossing to prevent cavities and other dental problems. For your convenience we have a hygienist on staff to help with cleanings if you don’t have a family dentist. Otherwise, we are always happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure you receive the best possible care and maintain a healthy smile.
